A personal story from our Founder Simon Kutzschmar on how 3x3 can impact a young career.
​
"Growing up in 5 on 5 Basketball, I always strived for a professional career in the NBA, the Euroleague or simply in the top leagues of my home Country, Germany. Year after year I battled and competed for a spot in the National team, but never made the cut to put on a National Team jersey and represent my Country on the highest level. Then, in 2018 I finally made my debut in 3x3. Starting off as summer fun, I started showing up to every single tournament in reach, that means up to 6 hour drives on the weekends just to play the game I grew to love. Many tournaments later, we saw great success, playing in the Final of the German Championship against NBA Player Dennis Schroeder. Only a few weeks later I collected enough points to be ranked Number 1 in Germany in the Men's Category. This is where my life changed, as I received a call to represent Germany in the Fiba 3x3 u23 Nations League and later on even suited up for the Senior Men's National team at the Fiba 3x3 World Cup Qualifier in Puerto Rico.

Along the way I played on the Fiba 3x3 World Tour and Challenger Events in outstanding locations and countries, from Hungary to the Netherlands, France, Czech Republic, Puerto Rico and even Quebec, Canada. The game has provided me with ample personal opportunity, but also with lifetime connections to teammates, coaches and organizers, which I will forever be grateful for."

Can3x aims to host tournaments and community events to provide opportunities for players of all ages and abilities to get involved, get playing and also to discover an alternative path in the basketball world by collecting valuable Fiba 3x3 points for the National and World Tour rankings.

Exciting, fast paced games, as well as music and other innovative elements allow for 3x3 events to turn into true community meet-ups. ​
Since its inception by the FIBA in 2010, 3x3 has grown into an intricate Pro Circuit with events across the globe. Backed by Millions of Fans on the Social Media platforms, the sport keeps growing year over year, as it provides each player the fantastic new opportunity of becoming an Olympic Athlete.​
